U.S. team members devoted a full day of hard work to Habitat for Humanity on their build in Escondido, CA. This build consisted of 11 new single family homes (five duplexes and one detached home) that are approximately 1,300 square feet. Team members spent the day working on a variety of jobs and projects on the construction site. Some of these projects included installing insulation and drywall within the homes. SEACOMP team members found the volunteer day very fulfilling and felt a sense of pride by giving back to their local community in this manner.

San Diego Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. It was founded on the idea that every person should have a decent and affordable home to live in with dignity and safety. Habitat programs are focused on creating homes for ownership by low-income families in need, offering a hand up, not a handout. To learn more, visit their website at www.sdhfh.org.
