Displaytech released new character module series for 16x1, 16x2, 16x4, 20x2, and 20x4 LCD displays. To easily differentiate the new modules from the original, just look at the part series number. All new character display part series have letters G through M (original modules have letters A through F).
The original modules (series A - F) are no longer recommended for new design. We’ll continue to supply the original modules for customer reorders of existing products. Customers can also purchase the original modules from any stock available through our distributors. However, all new designs should be built around our new character modules (series G - M).
